Fixing Drywall with a Lath Patch
When you need to fix a hole in drywall there are many different patches to choose from. One of the most common techniques is a Lath Patch. The term “lath” is derived from when old interior walls were made using plaster and lath. Lath just means “thin wooden strip.”
The Lath Patch does not conceal as well as other drywall patches, so it should not be used in highly viable areas. This patch is very strong and does not require a lot of skill to do right.
To learn how to fix any drywall hole purchase our Repairing Drywall and Matching Texture DVD. The DVD comes with a full-color project guide with everything you need to buy at the hardware store and step-by-step instructions.
